Chuck E Cheese again... and our tree!

Chuck E Cheese is quickly becoming Beckham's favorite place in the world. He has only been a handful of times but he talks about it all the time. After our Chuck E Cheese trip with Dad, Monica and Marc he was dying to go back, talking about "riding the big red dog" aka Clifford. So, Yaya came in for the weekend and we both had some errands to run in Bossier, and decided to have lunch and some play time at Chuck E Cheese....on a Saturday. It was brave, no doubt; but, it turned out fine. It was crazy busy with about 7 birthday parties happening but it was still a ton of fun. Beckham was so exhausted afterwards and we still had a few stops to make, but it ended up working out.

Over Thanksgiving break we met up with my Dad, whom Beckham calls Pepaw and had lunch and got our Christmas tree! We actually got a real tree this year which I LOVE, but it's a lot of work. I love that my Dad is really trying to be involved in Beckham's life. He usually comes over every other week or so and then he'll randomly text or call for us to go eat with him or come to his house. It's really sweet and I am very thankful for him in our lives. This is the big wheel that Pepaw got last Christmas for Beckham. He was too small for it then, but he's the perfect size now. He hasn't really mastered the whole pedaling thing yet but I'm sure it won't take him long to get it figured out.

Beckham also has a crazy obsession with TC, Pepaw's dog. I think he loved her as much as he loves Dad. haha She is seriously the sweetest dog ever. She lets him hug her, kiss her, attempt to pick her up...etc. She doesn't care one bit and Beckham loves her so much.

I will post pictures of our tree later, but it is massive. Like, too big for our living room. I didn't realize it was as large and in charge as it is, but it is really pretty. I made the joke that everyone was getting gift cards this year, because we literally don't have room for presents. I guess we'll have to make it work because we are somewhat stuck with it until after Christmas.

Where did April go?

Seriously, where did the month of April go? I'm going to try to summarize our month...
Beckham had his first Easter pictures with baby lambs!! It was so cute and he actually liked them! They were a little more scared of him than the other way around! Anyways I thought the lambs would be something different and I was so pleased with the pics! He's so stinkin cute with his one little tooth! Mary (with Creative Imaging) even had me get in one shot, which turned out to be my first professional picture with my baby-so it doesn't really matter than I'm so not dressed for pics- oh well! I keep begging Butch to do some family pictures but he's not real into it so, we'll see!

I was so pleased with Beckham's Easter basket!! I ordered the basket from etsy and fund the other things at various places. His basket has eggs & cute bunnies on each side of his name, that you can't see and was filled with the following: a floaty thing for the pool this summer, LSU bottles, a nuk sippy cup, blue peeps, easter bunny sock monkey, my first easter chick stuffed animal, cotton candy, baseball toy & Noah's ark plastic eggs! I was/am so in love with it! The basket isn't too baby-ish and is multicolored so it'll go with any outfit and he can use it for years to come, at least that's the argument I told myself for paying $55 for it.
Over Spring break my sweet boy & wonderful hubby played nurse & took care of me while I was recovering from having all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. It was not fun but thank God my Mom came or a few days and helped with Beckham so I literally slept about 48 hours straight!
Grami and Pop got Beckham bunnies for Easter- they don't have names yet. We've considered Pete & Repete or Pootie head & Looski (those are Beckham's crazy nicknames) but nothing has stuck!
You can't really see his Easter outfit but this is the only picture I have on my phone & my laptop decided to die on me. Boo! Easter brought the usual cold snap & horrible weather so, it was cold & rainy all day. But, Beckham really didn't care about hunting eggs anyways, so it turned out fine!

We finished off the month of April by visiting Yaya and Grumpy!! They remodeled their house & it's finally done, or livable lol it looks awesome & will be amazing when it's completed!
Sweet boy napping at Yaya's and eating Swiss cake rolls-which he LOVED btw!

So, our April was pretty awesome. We stayed busy, obviously, because it came & went in the blink of an eye! I am trying HARD to savor these precious moments with Beckham but it is so hard! It seems like he is growing at warp speed & I am missing everything!!!!! Side note- he I'd trying HARD TO WALK, yes at 9 months! Ugh!!! Hell on wheels! I am so lucky to be his Mommy!

Recap of October

So.... October was an incredible month!! I previously wrote I would be starting October 12th... but I ended up starting October 1st! So far it has truly been a dream! I love it so much!! I actually can't wait to get up and go to work everyday! It has been so fun getting my room decorated and all of my stuff organized. Apart from having to leave my baby boy, this job has really been amazing. Although I HATE leaving him in the mornings, I know I am so lucky to have great family to keep him everyday! Thank God I don't have to deal with Daycare! The best part is when my Mother-in-law keeps him I usually just stay at her house so I never have to wake Beckham up in the mornings. It is GREAT!

I have been quite busy (which explains the lack of posts lately) and to be honest- the month of October literally FLEW by. So here's a recap and photo dump...if you will.

1st Road Trip to YaYa's

I'm just now finding the time to catch up on some blogging. If no one ever reads this it will be totally fine with me. Being able to sit back and reflect on the different things that we ( Butch, Beckham and I) have going on in our lives is so special to me. I love the fact that Beckham or Butch I will be able to look back on this and reminisce of all the different and mostly boring to everyone else (right now-baby's still little!) things that we do.
he really is THE cutest baby ever
Anyways, this past weekend we took our first road trip! Although we live in the country so mostly everything is a 'roadtrip'. We went to visit YaYa (my Mom) and Grumpy (my step Dad). Beckham was a little sick, just allergy stuff, but you could tell he was uncomfortable. Poor baby would try to rub his own eyes, it was so cute! As usual, the car ride totally frightened me but it turned out to be fine. About twenty minutes away from Mom's he started getting a little fussy but not bad. The weekend was spent relaxing, catching up, and fawning over this precious baby. He is loved beyond words. Mom got him a new play mat with mobile and piano that he can kick to make music and he absolutely loves it! We actually ended up taking it home and I'm ordering Mom another one to keep at her house. Beckham doesn't seem to like any 'toys' (swing, bouncer, play mat, boppy etc.) but something about this mat, he just loves it, which I love!

new favorite toy!

With the help of baby doses of Benadryl, saline nose drops, Tylenol and a humidifier, little boy is finally feeling better! He can actually breath through his nose (which is important for sucking a paci, drinking a bottle, and other various baby activities!).

The ride home was a breeze, he slept the whole time. As soon as we got home we went to see everyone at MayMay's watching the Saints game, and then to Grammy's for supper. Had a GREAT weekend and finally, around 7:30 we got home. Bath, cereal and bed by 8:30. Baby and Mama are tired! Goodnight
